Alternative connection profiles to be used in duct systems have been given in DW 142 and SMACNA standards. SMACNA has especially emphasized the savings of using new technology with its definitions and approaches.

The duct flange, one of the defined, alternate fittings, provides savings from time and labor in applications, and maximum sealing and rigidity when correctly applied.
When the required accessories are used, it both increases the installation capability and provides the system with aesthetic integrity.

Flange Sizes


Makro Teknik flange profiles have been manufactured to provide maximum strength, sealing and ease of assembly in air ducts. 240 gr/ m² galvanized sheet according to the TSE 820 standard is used in its production. Viscous, nonfreezing butyl compound is squeezed to the duct placement joint of flange in order to provide sealing along the flange. Cross-section sizes of Makro Teknik flange profiles, their connection type definitions and stock dimensions have been given in the table.
